Introduction to Meditation Class - Sunday, May 6 - 12:10 p.m. - 12:40 p.m.

The ancient art of meditation is drawing increasing interest from scientists and health professionals around the world for its life changing potentials. It is the common thread in the lives of all great spiritual giants.
On Sunday, April 1, there will be a short Introduction to Meditation class. Anyone wishing to learn how to meditate is welcome to attend this class held immediately after the second service in Lower India Hall from 12:10 -12:40 p.m. You will learn some of the basic principles for starting your own meditation practice, practices that can help one calm the mind and interiorize the focus to a higher consciousness. All are welcome!
This Sunday class, generally held on the first Sunday of each month is in addition to the weekly Intro to Meditation class we offer every Thursday from 12-12:30 p.m. in the Temple.

Thursday, May 10, 8:00 p.m. Swami Sri Yukteswar Birthday Commemoration Service

Paramahansa Yogananda said, “Celebration of the birthday of a God-realized soul...is a deeply spiritual occasion on which the vibrations of blessing from an illumined master are stronger than on other days in the year, because in the astral world, also, a celebration is taking place. Devotees who attend...with the right attitude will reap spiritual benefits and will find their high resolutions strengthened."
In commemoration of the birthday of our paramguru, Swami Sri Yukteswarji*, we will have a special Service in the Temple. All are welcome.
It is customary to bring a flower symbolizing devotion, and a monetary offering in gratitude to the SRF line of Gurus and their teachings. Flowers will be available on a donation basis outside the Temple from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 13 - Mother's Day

On Mother's Day, our minister will give services at both 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The service topic will be "The Mother Aspect of God."
